If you go down in the woods today you're sure of a big surprise...

I thought I might spice things up and give you some picture I would have never have thought to take. I got talking to a friend who had mentioned light painting?(I had never heard of it before) He told me to come down next time they went out and experiment. I am not going to lie this shoot did feel like the start of a horror film, 5 of us taking a trip into the woods late at night???? (sound familiar), and the amount of times they bullied me because I kept using my torch to check no masked man was creeping up behind me! As I am a very jumpy person anyway, any little noise I heard i had kittens over. !! However if we put all that to one side,  I am very very impressed with the picture that I have!!!  I have not really had any experience taking pictures in the dark but I feel I will have to try it out again! Also, giving me a better in sight to using aperture and shutter speed effectively. I would like to say a big thank you to Chris Marshall,  Ryan Sissons, Ben Gray and Phil Nyland :) Here are a few of my favourites:

Breathe...

Well I have only had my camera for four months, however I think I have figured out I enjoy taking pictures of the great outdoors, that is all things landscapes/scenery, plants, small animals and insect related! Taking a day off from writing the dreaded dissertation I took the trek down to Delemere Forest in Cheshire for much needed long walk and to give my head a chance to breathe. Life has been pretty manic at the moment so it was nice to get out and chill out!  The forest was very wind damaged and a lot of trees had been uprooted and knocked over, also it was a really foggy and at one point I felt I was in Jurassic Park (you will all know the scene I am taking about – if not swat up) Very surreal!!!! Not intending to photograph anything in particular here is what I ended up with:

Tree climbing, bug holding, sunset watching and a whole load of getting lost!!!!

So it's the beginning of March, the sun is shining, the birds are singing and would you look at that we are still in England?????? When does this ever happen??? Therefore Meg and her little camera had to make the most of it! Not far from Blackpool there is a little country park called 'Beacon Fell' it's a quaint little place brilliant for climbing trees and getting lost in the woods (as I did several times during this shoot) you go off the beaten track for two minutes and end up 5 miles in the opposite direction! On the way home I made a small detour to try and catch the sunset, but due to unforeseeable circumstance (ie. stupid rush hour traffic!!!!) I just caught the tail end, still making for some nice pictures though. Anyways enough of my boring mundane witter, my pictures can be found below.

Ps. I'm still trying to figure out if it's a good thing or not that I haven't edited any of them?? Opinions guys???

Thank you for looking :)
